These rules apply to the Brain Games apps Backgammon, Chess, Sudoku and Solitaire. There are few of them, and they are written to be understood.
In short. Play, win coins, spend them however you like. Don't cheat, don't pretend to be someone else, don't ruin the game for the person across the board. Anyone who does loses their account.
Coins are earned by playing, watching a video, spinning the wheel, opening the daily chest and inviting a friend. They can also be bought.
Coins have no value outside the app: they cannot be converted into money, transferred to another profile, or refunded. They exist to play with, and that is all.
No program is perfect, and sooner or later someone will find an unintended way to make their balance go up. If that happens to you, tell us: we'll fix it, and we genuinely thank whoever reports it.
Using it is another matter. Earning coins by exploiting an error, a glitch or a defect in the game results in removal from our users and deletion of the account, along with everything in it: coins, rating, leaderboard position, unlocked characters.
This is not a threat written to fill a page. Coins are the yardstick every player is measured by: someone who manufactures a million of them isn't stealing from us — they are stealing the meaning of the leaderboard from everyone who earned theirs one game at a time. For the same reason it applies even though the defect was ours, and it certainly was: finding it is not a fault, milking it is.
The same applies to anyone who modifies the application, runs an altered version of it, or gets between the phone and our servers to change what they say to each other.
Online you play against real people. So:
Whoever sits at a table sets aside the entry in coins and genuinely risks it. Whatever the game does not play returns to both players.
The name you choose appears on the leaderboard and in games. Don't use offensive names, don't impersonate another person, and don't pretend to be part of Brain Games. A name that breaks this rule we change ourselves, without asking.
Depending on how serious it is: a warning, the removal of coins earned unfairly, exclusion from online play, or closure of the account.
If the account is closed, what is inside it is lost and cannot be recovered, including coins bought with real money. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and we'll look again: we answer everyone.
Inside the app there is a command that deletes your account and your data. Nobody asks why and nobody tries to keep you.
If we change these rules in any substantial way we'll tell you inside the app, not just by quietly editing this page.
