Gulp
Arcade · plays in your browser, no download
A hole in the middle of the city. Swallow cones and people, grow, then cars, buses and houses. One minute to get big enough.
Where it comes from
The swallowing-hole game became a hit on phones in 2018, played as a race in a city seen from above. It is an old idea in a new shape: the snake that grows by eating, from the arcades of the 1970s, turned inside out — here you do not get longer, you get wider, and the whole map is food.
How to play
- You are a hole in the ground. Drag your finger and it follows.
- Anything smaller than the hole falls in when its middle is over it — and every bite makes the hole bigger.
- Start with cones, people and bins. Bigger means cars, then buses, then houses.
- One minute. Reach the size on the green bar and you win: the number at the bottom says how much you have grown.
- More stars means a bigger target in the same minute. Go for the big bites as soon as you can swallow them.
What makes this one different
You are a hole in the ground, and the city is lunch. Anything smaller than you falls in, and every bite makes you bigger — cones and people first, then cars, then buses and whole houses. The whole game is the order: the big things only fit once you have eaten enough small ones to be big.
A city block seen from above, built fresh every game: two roads each way with cars, vans and buses in their lanes, pavements with people, lamps and bins, parks with trees and benches, and houses and towers in between. You grow by area, so the first bites count for a lot and the later ones for less. More stars asks for a bigger hole in the same minute.
