Faces
Board · plays in your browser, no download
Twenty-four faces, one secret. Ask, narrow down, and say who it is.
Where it comes from
Guess Who, the two plastic boards of little faces that flip down one by one. The cardboard version never told you how well you were doing; here both counters are on screen, so you can see whether your question was better than theirs.
How to play
- Twenty-four faces. The computer has picked one in secret, and so have you — yours is the small one at the bottom.
- When one face is left it starts pulsing: tap it to say who it is.
- You take turns, and the computer is doing the same to you — the two counters at the bottom are how many each of you has left.
What makes this one different
Twenty-four faces, and you are both doing the same thing: the computer is narrowing down your face while you narrow down its one. Every question can be asked once, so a question that rules out three faces is a question wasted. Three stars asks the one that cuts the pile in half every time.
Seven questions to choose from — hair colour, a woman, long hair, a hat, glasses, a beard, a smile — and every face that answers the other way goes grey. The counters at the bottom show how many faces each of you has left, so you can see whether you are ahead before the board does.
