Where it comes from
Simon, the four-coloured disc from the end of the seventies that beeped a note with every light. The notes were not decoration: a tune is easier to remember than a list, which is why the sound here is worth leaving on.
How to play
- Watch which pads light up, then tap them back in the same order.
- Every time you get it right the sequence grows by one more.
- One wrong pad and the round is over — it shows you the right one before it closes.
- The eyes button plays the sequence again: three times per round.
- The two numbers at the top are this round and your best.
- Sound on makes it easier: each pad has its own note.
What makes this one different
It plays a colour, you play it back, and the sequence grows by one every time you get it right. One wrong pad ends the round, and it shows you what the right one was before it closes. With the sound on each pad has its own note, and the tune carries the order for you.
The sequence is not random cruelty: it is the same one every time, one pad longer. So the game is memory with a running start, and the eyes button will play it back for you three times a round — after that you are on your own. Your best round is kept.
