Bake
Puzzle · plays in your browser, no download
Cupcakes to order: fill the cup, take it out of the oven when it is golden, pipe the right frosting and add exactly the toppings on the ticket. Every step scored by how close you get.
Where it comes from
Cupcakes are older than the name: American cookbooks from the 1820s already baked small cakes in cups, and the paper liner arrived with mass-produced muffin tins in the twentieth century. The cooking game on phones turned the recipe into a sequence of gestures — fill, bake, frost, decorate — and kept the only rule a pastry chef cares about: precision.
How to play
- Three orders, one cupcake each. The ticket at the top says which frosting and which toppings.
- Fill: hold to pour the batter, let go when it is in the green band. Too much and it spills.
- Bake: tap to take it out when it is golden — the white mark on the bar. Too late and it burns.
- Frost: pick the colour on the ticket, then hold until the swirl reaches the green band.
- Decorate: tap exactly the toppings on the ticket, then the green tick. Extra or wrong ones cost points.
What makes this one different
A small kitchen game about the moment you let go. Pour until the batter reaches the band, pull the cupcake out while it is golden and not a second later, pipe the frosting to the mark: every step is scored by how close you got, so a good cupcake is a run of well-timed releases, not a run of taps.
Three orders per star, each with its own frosting colour and its own toppings: cherries, strawberries, sprinkles, chocolate chips, candles, blueberries, candy hearts and mint leaves. More stars means narrower bands, a faster oven and more toppings to get exactly right.
